Greek Tofu Recipe (Vegan)

Ingredients

Tofu:

  • 500 g Sunrise Soyganic Original organic smoked tofu, sliced 1/4 inch thick

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp dried basil

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • a pinch salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking

Tahini Dressing Recipe from The Minimalist Baker

  • 1/3 cup tahini

  • Juice of 1/2 lemom

  • 1 tsp garlic minced

  • 1/2 tbsp maple syrup

  • Water to thin out sauce

Instructions

In a resealable container, whisk together marinade ingredients (everything except tofu). Add sliced tofu and allow this to marinade for at least 1 hour or overnight.

In a skillet set over medium heat, add olive oil. Pan fry tofu until golden brown on each side, approximately 5-7 minutes each side. Serve with greek rice and potatoes.

For the tahini sauce, whisk together the ingredients until smooth and thin out with as much water as desired.
