REISHI AVOCADO  BROWNIES RECIPE

Serves 16 pieces | Ready in 1 hr 40 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 medium, ripe avocados skin and pitted

  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup cane sugar

  • 2 large organic eggs

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

  • 3 tbsp Botanica Health’s Organic Reishi Hot Chocolate Mix

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or pinch of sea salt

  • Optional: 2 clementines, peeled and thinly sliced

Required: 8 x 8 square baking dish and food processor

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and greased 8 x 8 baking dish

  2. In a food processor, add the avocado, maple syrup, and sugar. Blend well. Then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Blend again thoroughly.

  3. Add in flour, baking soda, salt, and, Reishi Hot Chocolate Mix, cocoa powder and blend well.

  4. Spread the batter into the pan evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until done. Poke a toothpick into middle to test if it comes out clean to ensure its cooked.

  5. Remove from heat and let cool.

  6. Optional: If you decide to top it off with sliced clementines, freeze for 30 minutes first before slicing.
